The Parade of Mischief made its last run down Park Centre Drive on Saturday, October 24. It skipped Halloween weekend entirely. For the next few weeks, Downtown Summerlin has no headline event on its calendar. That makes this a good moment to sort what has actually changed there in 2026 from what has only been announced.
Here is how that sorts out. The new things you can use today are two restaurants from California operators. Everything with a bigger name or a bigger project behind it still has an estimated date: a celebrity-backed gym, the holiday schedule, and a new freeway ramp. One of those estimates has already moved. For anyone at The Summit Club, whose address on Summit Club Drive shares the 89135 ZIP code with Downtown Summerlin, the useful list for November is shorter and more concrete than the headlines suggest.
Oval Park Drive Has a Tenant Again
The space at 10955 Oval Park Drive sat dark for more than three years after Wolfgang Puck Player's Locker closed in July 2023. On September 21, Finney's Crafthouse opened there. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Neon, it is the first location outside California for a group of 16 neighborhood taverns from Central and Southern California. Brothers Greg and Brad Finefrock founded the group in 2016. The name comes from their high school nickname, the "Finney brothers," because Finefrock is pronounced "finney-frock."
The Review-Journal said the opening had been anticipated since January, when Neon first reported the plan. By October 9, 8 News Now was covering it as an open restaurant. The station described a family- and dog-friendly room, a patio, and more than 20 TVs. With November evenings cooling down and football weekends lined up, that patio and those screens fit the next two months well.
The February Opening Set the Pattern
Finney's is the second California operator to open in Downtown Summerlin this year. On Wednesday, February 4, Marufuku Ramen, the San Francisco ramen shop, opened at 2010 Festival Plaza Drive, Suite 170, in the former SkinnyFats space, according to Neon. Its Summerlin location page lists hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
The two openings have a few things in common. Each one moved into a space a previous tenant had left. Each brand started in California, and its Summerlin location is a step beyond that home market. The two are open now with posted hours, which can't yet be said of the district's most talked-about arrival.
The Gym Whose Opening Date Keeps Moving
In April, the Review-Journal reported that Municipal Gym, founded by Mark Wahlberg, would take over the former Bed Bath & Beyond space near Sahara Avenue and the 215. At the time, the opening was described as late this year. An October 16 report from West Valley Shoutouts gives a later target. It cites the company's own site for the address, 2315 Summa Drive, and for a planned opening in early 2027.
The same report describes a planned 32,000-square-foot club with a few named training areas:
- The Runway, proposed as indoor turf space
- Parks & Rec, an outdoor training area
- 4:AM Club, a circuit-workout space
The only Municipal session held in Summerlin so far was a free outdoor workout on The Lawn on October 20. Downtown Summerlin's event listing still called the permanent gym "opening soon." The company is taking names for a membership waitlist and has promoted founding-member presale offers. Early 2027 is a projection, not an announced opening day, and the target has already moved once since spring. For now, municipalgym.com is the place to check for a confirmed date.
The Holiday Calendar Comes Out Later Than Halloween's Did
The Parade of Mischief schedule was posted on September 21, eleven days before the first show. The holiday season follows a different timeline. As of mid-October, Downtown Summerlin's events page listed no 2026 dates for the holiday parade, Rock Rink or Santa.
Last year's dates show the general shape, though they are not a schedule for this year. In 2025, Downtown Summerlin announced its season on November 1. Rock Rink and Santa's Chalet in the Macy's Promenade both opened November 14. The holiday parade ran Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m. from November 21 to December 20, with no Black Friday show and an added performance on Monday, December 22. If 2026 follows a similar pattern, the announcement would come right around the time this post is published, but nothing official has been posted yet.
One nearby holiday event does have 2026 dates. Enchant returns to the Las Vegas Ballpark with a light maze, ice skating and Santa. The two official sources disagree by one day. Enchant's own page lists November 20 through December 27, while the Las Vegas Aviators' event page lists November 21 through December 28. Check the ticket page for the date you have in mind before you plan around opening or closing night.
The Ramp Change Expected Before Year's End
The other date to know this season is on the freeway. Clark County started the $130 million 215 Beltway and Summerlin Parkway interchange project on Monday, February 10, 2025. The county lists the contract at 1,100 days, and the Review-Journal describes it as a 1,102-day project. The work includes a new flyover from southbound 215 to eastbound Summerlin Parkway, five new vehicle bridges and three pedestrian trail bridges.
In late September, the Review-Journal's Road Warrior column reported that about 58 percent of the work had been billed as of the end of August, a little ahead of schedule. The last vehicle bridge was due by year's end. Project manager Dan Erickson told the paper the next big milestone is the new ramp from westbound Summerlin Parkway to northbound 215:
"It's going to go under that new ped bridge on the northeast corner. That should happen maybe November or December. Cars will be on the ultimate alignment. It's getting close."
Erickson also told the Review-Journal that the remaining work is mostly walls and bridges built away from traffic, so he does not expect major lane closures soon. The slowdown he did point to is southbound 215 between Cheyenne and Lake Mead, where heavy trucks climb the grade at about 10 mph. The county's look-ahead for October 18 through November 13 still lists the new on-ramp as an active work zone, along with the Far Hills Avenue ramps and the trail between Far Hills and Summerlin Parkway. The pedestrian and bike bridges are already built, but the paths leading to them won't open until near the end of the project. The Review-Journal puts completion in spring 2028, while the county's preliminary phasing sheet shows the final phase ending in February 2028.
